Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall delivered a clear message to Republicans across the state: The fight for Michigan’s future is a choice between Republican results that put families first and a radical Democrat agenda that would raise costs, expand government and make Michigan a harder place to build a future.
Speaking at the Michigan Republican campaign event, Hall laid out the stakes of the November election and made clear that House Republicans are prepared to take the fight directly to Democrats.
While Democrats want to raise taxes, increase utility bills and give Lansing bureaucrats even more control over people’s lives, Speaker Hall and House Republicans are fighting to put more money back in your pocket.
Under Hall’s leadership, House Republicans have advanced a bold agenda to eliminate the state property tax, stop income tax hikes, lower utility and healthcare bills, prevent Wall Street corporations from buying up Michigan homes and protect consumers from AI grocery price gouging.
The contrast could not be clearer.
Democrats believe every problem can be solved with another government program, another mandate or another tax. Their agenda would force Michigan families to pay more while giving politicians and unelected bureaucrats greater control over their paychecks, homes, schools and communities.
Speaker Hall is offering a different direction centered on lower costs, safer communities, stronger schools and a government that respects the people paying for it.
Hall also highlighted the importance of protecting the Republican House majority, electing John James as governor and sending Republicans like Mike Bouchard and Mike Rogers to Washington. With strong Republican leadership at both the state and federal levels, Michigan can cut taxes, unleash American energy, secure the border, support law enforcement and give working families more breathing room.
Speaker Hall has already shown what determined conservative leadership can accomplish. House Republicans have uncovered waste, fraud and abuse, demanded greater transparency from state government and forced Lansing to begin living within its means. They have stood up to the special interests, challenged a broken bureaucracy and refused to accept the failed status quo.
Now, Hall is taking that fight directly to Michigan Democrats.
This election will determine whether Michigan continues moving toward lower costs, greater opportunity and accountable government or returns to the Democrats’ failed agenda of higher taxes, reckless spending and big government extremism.
