
Speaker Matt Hall made it clear this week that Democrats will not be raising taxes on Michigan families on his watch. As budget talks begin to heat up, Hall shut down Democrat proposals that would once again reach into taxpayers’ wallets to fuel bigger government and reckless spending.
Under Speaker Hall’s leadership, House Republicans are holding firm against tax hikes and insisting that Lansing live within its means. Hall has repeatedly said the problem is not revenue. It is spending. Instead of raising taxes, House Republicans are focused on cutting waste, fraud, and abuse and prioritizing the issues that actually matter to working families.
Democrats want more money and more government.
Speaker Hall is standing up for taxpayers and affordability. The contrast could not be clearer.
