Rep. Tisdel is right. Michiganders have a right to be concerned about the problems stemming from our southern border not being secured. Our border is a mess and it’s all because of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Michigan Democrats are making it worse. They’re attracting those illegal immigrants and giving them a safe haven in Michigan by giving them money at the expense of taxpayers. Whitmer is still pushing to give illegals $500 in rent subsidies to “newcomers”. Democrats claim this won’t actually go to illegal immigrants – but that’s just not the case. People may be abusing loopholes in our asylum law by claiming asylum only after they get caught because a person who claims asylum is not considered an illegal alien and would therefore qualify for this subsidy.
It’s a real problem. And Rep. Tisdel is getting to the bottom of this by pressing the Whitmer Administration. It’s yet another reason why he has a big target on his back and why we need him in Lansing to fight for us!
