Meanwhile, a hospital association-linked nonprofit is reserving roughly $600,000 in advertising in two House races to support Democrats, according to The Midwesterner. The same report cites research showing hospital revenues growing more than twice as fast as operating costs.
The timing speaks volumes. Republicans are challenging the industry over what patients pay, while hospital-linked money flows toward Democrats. For all their rhetoric about taking on powerful interests, Democrats seem perfectly comfortable benefiting from them.
