Speaker Matt Hall drew a firm line this week, reiterating a message conservatives already knew.
As long as he is Speaker, there will be no sanctuary counties in Michigan. No sanctuary designations anywhere. Michigan will cooperate with ICE. Michigan will follow the laws on the books. Unlike Minnesota, Michigan will not antagonize law enforcement, instead it will cooperate.
Hall has made public safety and the rule of law a priority, rejecting policies that undermine cooperation with law enforcement or shield illegal activity. While Democrats flirt with sanctuary policies, Speaker Hall is standing with communities that want laws enforced and neighborhoods kept safe.
