Shining a light on Michigan’s Politics

Democrats are not hiding what they want to do if they regain full control in Lansing.

A review by The Midwesterner found Democratic proposals focused on rent control, a homeless bill of rights, driver’s licenses and state IDs for illegal immigrants, a 20 dollar minimum wage, corporate tax increases, race-based school curriculum boards, and protections for contested library materials. The same report found proposals that would impose new scheduling, staffing, contracting, and labor rules on employers. 

This is exactly why Speaker Matt Hall and House Republicans matter.

Democrats call Hall an obstructionist because he is standing between Michigan families and a far-left agenda that would raise costs, weaken public safety, burden employers, and inject more government control into daily life.

The contrast is clear. Democrats want more mandates, more taxes, and more bureaucracy. Speaker Hall and House Republicans are fighting to keep Michigan affordable, safe, and focused on common sense.
